Our Madison Rotary Club in Action!

Support the Madison Rotary Carnival

and our Madison Rotary Foundation

The Madison Rotary Carnival will arrive in mid-July at Academy Field and this year’s event will be bigger than ever. We are asking all Businesses and Community members interested in helping the Madison Rotary Foundation by taking part as one of our Carnival Sponsors. Your support helps increase our charitable impact in the Madison community, the Connecticut Shoreline, and the State of Connecticut and supports our Foundation’s work helping those in need in communities and developing countries around the world.

A Message from The 2022-2023 Madison Rotary Club President

David T. Moore

Madison Rotary 2022/2023 Cub President, David Moore, flanked by his family at the Madison Fourth of July Parade

It is a tremendous honor for me to accept the gavel and the responsibilities of the President of the Rotary Club of Madison, Connecticut. Since  I was first inducted as an honorary member of this club in 2004 I have been continually impressed with the commitment to the needs of our community and those of the world that have been addressed by the Madison Rotary Club.

Even in this idyllic Connecticut shoreline, there are good people and good organizations of good people that are in need of our muscle wherever we can provide it.  Examples of our past efforts, to name but a few, can be found in local organizations and those of foreign countries such as the Shoreline Soup Kitchen and Pantries, the Madison Lyric Stage, the American Legion, Call to Care Uganda, the Dominican Republic, the school system of Chandigarh, India, the E. C. Scranton Memorial Library, the school system of Madison and the Daniel Hand High School Interact Club.

As we continue to pull ourselves out from the restrictions imposed by the pandemic of recent years, we continue to benefit from the technical innovations we implemented to keep our Club solvent, such as the Virtual Meeting concept which has kept Rotarians directly involved in our activities more so than ever in the past.

The members and friends of the Madison Rotary Club look forward to another great year as we address the numerous requests for assistance that stand before us at this moment from organizations that promote peace and conflict resolution, the ongoing need for clean water and sanitation, education and literacy, maternal and child care, community and economic development, disease prevention/treatment and deep and abiding respect for our environment,

We press on!

Yours in Rotary Service,

David T. Moore
President, Madison Rotary Club, 2022-2023
